When you are accused of a crime, it is critical to hire aggressive attorneys who have a long history of defending clients in state and federal courts. The emotional and financial costs of a conviction can be overwhelming. We zealously defend our clients in all types of criminal cases. Call us as soon as you are arrested and do not make any statements unless we are present.
We provide a defense for all of the following criminal cases and more:
It is important to have excellent representation, even for a traffic misdemeanor. The consequences can be severe and may include:
When involved in a criminal case, it is helpful to your defense to bring certain documents to your first attorney appointment at our office:
Our skilled attorneys defend you and protect your interests through every step of the criminal discovery process and trial. We obtain and read all documents that are relevant to your case including the police investigation and witness statements. Sometimes the police make mistakes during the arrest process and the evidence may be inadmissible.
In a DUI case, the officers usually conduct field sobriety tests at the scene. These tests must be appropriately administered. The blood alcohol test also must be administered under approved conditions and the testing apparatus itself has to be tested periodically. We examine any scientific evidence taken at the scene and the certificate of blood alcohol analysis to detect any irregularities that may enable us to suppress the test evidence.
Even after clients are convicted of a crime, we continue assisting them. For example, we can sometimes help clients whose drivers licenses have been suspended, to obtain restricted driver's licenses so that they can at least drive to and from work or school. If a jail sentence is given, we strive to make arrangements for a work release or to have the sentence served on weekends so that the client's employment will not be interrupted while the sentence is served.
We are experienced attorneys ready to represent you in personal injury and criminal matters. Contact us to discuss your case on our local number — (804) 282-1212 or, on our toll-free number at (800) 229-1214, or contact us online.
